About your photographer.
—
Hi, I’m Kate—photographer, dog mom, desert dweller, and someone who fully believes that love is the most beautiful thing in the world. I grew up in the stunning red rock landscapes of Moab, where the sunsets seem to stretch forever and the silence of the desert holds a kind of magic. Even though I’ve lived all over the country, this place will always be home. There’s something about the way the light hits the cliffs here, the way the stars come out at night—it keeps pulling me back, and I’m so grateful for that.
I’m recently engaged to the love of my life, and I’ve got two sweet, slightly spoiled pups who are truly my heart. When I’m not photographing incredible people in love, you can usually find me hiking a trail, camping under the stars, or just sitting outside with a cup of coffee soaking it all in. I’ve been photographing since I was sixteen, and what started as a creative outlet has grown into this deep love for storytelling and connection. For me, photography isn’t about stiff poses or perfect lighting—it’s about the real stuff. The quiet moments. The big laughs. The way you look at each other when you forget the camera is even there.
I feel so lucky to do what I do, and even luckier when I get to work with people who trust me to document their love in an honest, meaningful way. Whether we're adventuring through the mountains, exploring the desert, or simply hanging out in your favorite spot, I’m here for all of it—and I promise to bring not just my camera, but my whole heart.
Some fun facts about me
I grew up surrounded by the red rocks and desert skies of Moab — it’s in my bones and my heart forever.
I’m currently building a house and planning a wedding for next year — it’s a wild, beautiful season of life and I’m soaking up every minute.
On any given weekend, you’ll find me camping under the stars or chasing the perfect sunrise.
I’ve been known to crush a smoothie bowl like it’s a competitive sport (seriously — it's an art form at this point).
I’m obsessed with a good sour beer, a box of donuts, and a fridge stocked with bubbly water — life’s too short not to enjoy the little things.
Fun fact: my friends actually nicknamed me “Bubbles” because of how ridiculously bubbly and energetic I am. (No shame — it’s who I am!)
My Photography Style
My work is rooted in a documentary style—honest, unposed, and deeply connected to your story. I’m not here to orchestrate moments; I’m here to observe and preserve them as they unfold. There’s something so elegant about the unscripted—the way real emotion lingers in a glance or the warmth of a laugh caught mid-breath. My approach is elevated yet grounded, blending artistic intention with a genuine love for the candid, the quiet, and the wildly imperfect. This is about you—your connection, your love, your story exactly as it is. And I’m here to capture it all with care, curiosity, and heart.
My approach to photography is deeply rooted in storytelling—I believe the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments. The soft glances, unspoken gestures, and genuine laughter that can’t be staged. My style is documentary at heart, focused on capturing the real, raw, and beautifully imperfect pieces of your story as they naturally unfold. I’m not here to overly pose you—I’m here to witness you. Whether it’s an intimate elopement, a quiet walk through the desert, or a chaotic, joy-filled day with loved ones, I aim to preserve the honest emotion of each moment in a way that feels effortless and true to you.
